HELP!!! My camera won't let me put videos on my computer!?

I have a Canon Powershot SX10 IS, and I have been using it to propel video clips for a video project that is to be entered in a competition on YouTube. However, every time I try to put the video clips onto my computer for editing, they won't show up. For case, I tried to import them into Windows Movie Maker (due to lack of better editing software), and when I clicked "Imply Media", and found my folder with all my pictures and clips from the memory card in it, none of the videos were in there. They just didn't hand over themselves available for importing. As has been the case with every other program I've tried, including Picasa, PowerEditor, and AVS Video Redactor. But all my pictures have been put onto my computer without issue.

Could it be something to due with my computer having Windows Vista on it? Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? Are there any settings i can change on my camera, or computer that might clarify it? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

This is my 1st mechanism like this. Why can't instructions come inside the pkg? or a DVD explaining all this stuff. Iam older Grandmother and have spent all day on the computer disquieting to figure this out! As a miracle, I downloaded songs from a cd, but, Kaiser has stress relief mp3's that I can't download? Someone take pity on me-and get across how? Either I'll just return this thing or figure it out. Tech support said they don't help with that sort of obsession. I charged it up-got the latest RealPlayer and Windows Media-now what please....? thank you.

Recovering Original Hard Drive & Desk Top?

My Hewlett Packard computer with Vista was sluggish and I couldn't do a system restore. Thinking I could perform a partial recovery there wasn't a link to cancel the process. The follow-up was a complete restoration to original factory setting.

Is there any way for me to locate my original files, photos, desk top, etc. I don't separate what happen initially. Vista started having problems. and media center stopped working in besides to a host of other programs that starting having problems.

I've heard that there is no such thing as a complete erasure of knowledge, etc. How can I get back all of my previous files.

Why does Windows Media Center say "Low Bit Rate"?

I well-grounded got a Wintv-HVR-1600 and am trying to get tv to work. But every time I try it says "Low Bit Rate: Your tuner has stopped receiving statistics... blah blah blah". I have Comcast and a coax cable right from my breastwork to my computer, so I have no antenna problems. Please help!!

Primary IDE hard drive is detected as secondary, and won't start up.?

I recently bought a new CPU/Motherboard combo to use with a antecedent hard drive, but now that I've put everything in, I either get an error message "Reboot and select proper boot gambit or insert boot media in selected boot device", or it'll bring up the menu where you get to choose to start Windows XP in safe-deposit mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, etc, but no matter what choice is chosen, the computer just restarts.

The motherboard is an ECS A780GM-A.

EDIT: I have already checked the cables and swapped out the IDE cable. This exacting motherboard only allows for 1 IDE drive, which is why I'm finding it odd that my hard drive is detected as secondary master and my CD suggest is being detected as secondary slave.

Which one will run COD4 better? (I dont sorrow if its on low or medium settings).

I saw some videos on youtube of people with the Intel GMA X4500 running COD4 at a decent framerate (on standard-low settings), but I also thought the Intel GMA X4500 sucked.
