I would like some help about becoming an anesthesiologist.?
I am a minor tight on my deadline for applying for school for a health science program that will lead me towards this career. If i can't get into school this year i would have to stoppage till fall 2010 which is something i would rather not do. If i were to go for the bachelor of nursing would that as well prep me for the MCAT, or would it be better if i actually stand by the year (again). I am willing to travel from west to east in canada to accomplish this goal.
How do you like my idea for a stage play?
I'm longhand a play. It's about a love that might've been meant to be but never was. It shows how they fall in love but never act on it.
The story starts when the main characters are 8. They stumble on in school, the girl is shy, orphaned, etcetera. The boy befriends her. They become the best of friends.
Years pass, and they enter medial school. Then eventually high school.
They secretly wanted to date, but neither of them acted on it, fearing it might ruin their friendship.
They go to college and still don't disclose their feelings for each other. Finally, they enroll at West Point together (with the help of the guy's parents and uncle).
After basic training, they're both deployed to Afghanistan at the same circumstance. There's a scene where she almost kisses her but pulls away before she does and tells him he's gonna have to come back for that kiss (as he is needed on the applicants at the moment).
He dies in the heat of battle, sacrificing his life for his buddies (and older brother).
So, what do you about?
Openly I think it sounds a little cheesy. The quality of the play would have to be in your writing rather that this story since it's been done so many times before, dialect mayhap not with the couple going to war together, but with one of them dying before the relationship happened. There's a reason it's been seen a million times; it's very good to see! Unrequited love, tension, action, it's all brilliant, but what you really need to worry about is making your characters believable. Their lingua franca has to be smooth, unique to them, and the characters have to be relatable, but also completely original in order for them to stand out from this unoriginal cabal.
Keep trying with it, but just go easy on the cheese. That line: I'm gonna have to come back for that kiss? Would anyone ever actually say that? It condign doesn't seem real to have a girl who would spend so long with this guy, who would never get up the courage to risk their friendship before, who loves him so deep as you say, for her to just say such a corny, light, teasing thing. Yeah, it's great tension not to have them kiss, but you could have them up to from either side of a barricade and not be able to get to each other before he has to leave, that would be even more achingly sad!

i'm remorseful i'll be frank - there are certain limitations on what you can do on a stage, which means action isn't a popular stage genre, also there is the attainable controversy over the setting, it might not sit well with people who have already lost loved ones, and why is it so sad? and i and a few people want some realism, realistically can someone not concede feelings for 10+ years? there has to be more to this love story other than their reluctance to even admit feelings, there has to be other characters, feud, a central theme other than friggin' admit your feelings
Professional Degree vs Doing a Trade?
I am puzzled. While growing up in the West Indies, we were motivated to attend university and college to get a degree in a subject. My family is still like that. But then I migrated to Toronto, Canada and here they seem to proper a lot of emphasis on Trades. I have met people who have graduated from university with a degree and they can't find a job. They end up going back to school for a trade. It seems that people come in a lot of money on trades here. Like for example you have people getting $25 per hour to drive the community bus. While those that actually went to school and studied for a degree are getting like $13-$15 per hour at their jobs. How can this be? I don't show compassion for this system. Which is more valuable, trade or professional degree? I am about to go to University and I don't want to waste my time.

WEST POINT OR ANNAPOLIS?
I can get in to either, but I am not sure-fire which one to go to. I am interested in flying and engineering. Both schools are free, and I don't care about the service obligation because I privation to serve, so don't take any of that into account.
