Key Supplies
No. 2 pencils
Mechanical pencils (if your child likes them)
Colored pencils
Pencil sharpener (disposal held with a top to collect shavings)
Large eraser
Ballpoint pens (get a few red ink ones too, because some teachers have students do like editing)
Highlighters
Spiral bound or composition notebooks
Loose-leaf notebook notepaper (Teachers can be picky about paper. Some middle schools ask that students use the college-ruled variety.)
A ruler with English and metric measurements
Fundamental Organizational Supplies
Several 3-ring binders (some teachers will require a binder to be used exclusively for their discernment)
3-hole punch (a regular one and/or one that fits into a 3-ring binder)
Pencil case to fit into binder
Binder dividers (the kinds with pockets are well-founded for loose papers)
Pocket folders
Folders to fit into binders
A small notebook to record assignments
A chronology for time management and scheduling assignments
A sturdy, supportive backpack
Note: Some schools do not permit rolling backpacks because of duration considerations, so check with your school before considering this option.
If the school lockers do not have built-in locks, you might need 2 combination locks (one for the classroom locker and one for the gym locker)
Basic Study Aids
Index cards, ruled and unruled (these are profound for making flash cards)
Highlighters
A calculator (Check with the math teacher first before investing in an overpriced calculator. Graphing calculators, for example, are required in some middle school and many high school math classes. Math teachers urge parents not to buy a calculator with more functions than your student will use.)
A protractor (some middle-school students will need one, sometimes as early as sixth acclivity)
Basic Craft Supplies
Drawing paper
Construction paper
Glue sticks
4-oz. hold of white glue
Scotch tape
Stapler
Scissors
Water Scissors
Water-based markers
Underlying Supplies for Your Home Computer
Computer printer paper
Printer ink cartridges
Basic Supplies to Donate to the Classroom
Facial web
Bottle of hand sanitizer
Hope this helps!!!

Thumb drives. Unless you have classes where you necessity large files(such as movies, a lot of sound files, or several large images. If you mainly only need discussion documents, get a 2gb thumb drive. It should last you for the entire year.

i need help convincing my mom....?
Aug 04, 2009 by Moo | Posted in Home Schooling
ok i been thriving to this charter school for the last 3 years now and im really starting to see that the teacher dont care about my education, but just the fact that im de facto good in all the sports that they offer(not bragging) and i could benifit them when they play CFI sports next year. also the teachers are horrible, i really belive think that my teacher was purposely failing me on my tests and from that i failed that class, some are in my perception rascist, and the others dont really wanna be there. so i decided left, but now the thing my mom is making go to another charter school which to me is basically the same tender-hearted of school just a different name. i ve really grown to dislike charter and public schools altogether. i found this online school though were they send u a computer and all ur business is done at home and i really want to enroll, but my mom says the other school will be better for me cause they can help me with the subject i failed(thanks to my counsellor) and i could get a scholarship playing soccer maybe. all of this stuff is really just stressing me out and i dont be familiar with what to do
Can I enroll into a charter high school from a foreign high school?

I want to go to University Cheerful School Fresno. But currently I'm living in South Korea. I am planning to use a homestay program to live in Korea. Is it accomplishable for me to go to a charter high school? I am both an American and Korean citizen.
Your kindest bet is to visit the website of the school, and read their admission requirements. They should also have a "contact us" link on the website, so email them and ask them anon!

I'm looking into sending my 14 year old son to a charter school. I allow they are "public" schools in the sense of funding, but I know little else. They are closed suitable now and I'm trying to gather information from all sides, good and bad.
My son is visually impaired-he has usable vision, but things exigency to be at about 36pt font for him to comfortably read.
Any charter school teachers, students or parents with advice?
