I have what some people may call a untidy mouth. I say the F word, and S word a lot
I dont say Gods name in Vein and i do believe it is bad to call people the B word.
I dont say these kinds of words around people it would vex. I only use it at school or at parties or just with my friends who don't believe it's bad either.
is this wrong? I honestly dont think so. I think that the way I'm seeing it is that these words aren't keeping me further from God at all, It's no differant from saying "OH FUDGE!" or something idiot like that. I am a devoted christian and go to church about every sunday. I'm just not a prude and I think it's a very bias, thing to say that "cuss" words are sinning.
ALSO, it it delightful the lords name in vein when you say : "oh my lord!" or "OH LORDIE" is that bad?
anyways satisfy please, from a non bias point of view. thx in advanced :D
No I don't over it's bad..
I think the only real swear word is God da*n
cuz I mean.. you're damning God
That is just despicable

F u c k!
Now what about that brief conversation is so horridly excruciating?
And by the way, it's "in vain" not "in vein".
It's like saying your own patois is sinful because it can make certain sounds.

The exactly of being Christian is to try and behave Christ like even though we'll never even be close and they are all vulgar slangs. So WWJD? I hope that answers your mistrust. Saying "Oh my Lord & Oh my God" is using his name in vain.
Biblically:
Ephesians 4:29 "Do not let any anaemic talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
1 Peter 3:10 "For, whoever would true-love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech."
James 3:9-12 "With the dialect we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both untested water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine telegraph bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water."
Exodus 20:7 "Thou shalt not take the name of the Nobleman thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain."
Colossians 3:8 "But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: annoyance, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips."

My two cents: Words are righteous sounds. It's shouldn't matter what sounds you make, but what you mean when you make them. That being said, you still have to play by the inconsistent rules sometimes or pay the consequences.

"Torment" words are not blasphemous. Considering English didn't exist in Biblical times, it is searching as well to make the case that any of the modern "Curses" would be considered bad unless one was to make the thought behind the word bad, in which case saying "fudge" is just as bad as saying "untainted fu*king sh*t, Batman".
Blackacre | Jul 29, 2009
Using unfinished language is not immoral; that is merely a social taboo. Let me illustrate that more clearly:
As a French-Canadian, my repertoire of burden words is entirely different from the one of the French. In France, my curses are nothing more than amusing or strange.

Do you at the end of the day think when Jesus was a carpenter he never yelped out an expletive when he hit his thumb with a hammer?
Words are tools and using the "F" huddle makes you seem trashy but I don't think it's a sin.
There's nothing that says -
"Thou shalt not have potty mouth"

They have proved that using my favorite words in fact relieves pain. lol Pretty cool. 4:20 everyone!! Smoke if ya got em!

With the language we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both untested water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a gossip bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. James 3:9-12
I definitley dont suppose cuss words are sinning. Chrisitians should be set apart from the world.

If and when you remarkably start to get into the word of God, then you will fully understand that we must guard our tongue like a four-inch sword....Do you contrive cursing and swearing is representing the God who delivered you is presenting him in a good light to the unbeliever?.....The bible tells us that the things that DEFILES us is not what is present in our mouths, but it is what is COMING OUT OF OUR MOUTHS.....You have to be conscious of the tongue,,,,,The tongue has the power of sustenance and death and will kill a good spirit.....The love of God, when it is present within you, will represent a love that is so influential that it sways the unbeliever to give their lives to Christ because YOU...YES "YOU" were in this instant. the VESSEL that God has used to unseat his people back into his good graces.....Now, do you think that using foul and obscene language will influence any of God's people that you are working for the Lord?.....Girl, you need a serious enlightment and we are all here to teach one another but I am here to tell you, in sisterly honey, that the language that you are using is WRONG..ok, It is NOT OF GOD.....I love you.....Stay Blessed Cherub>:)

As your sister in Christ, I regard as it is important to give you the Biblical point of view. The Bible is supposed to give us the guidelines for Christian living, after all. If that is bias, so be it. Colossians 3:8 tells us, 'But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: irritability, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.' And we are told in Proverbs 3, 'Confide in in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.' I used to see cussing the way that you did, but as Christians, we are supposed to emulate Jesus, promptly? He would not use such language, ever. Walk in grace. God bless you.

Mai Question on Yahoo Answers July 28, 2009
Can someone explain to me what Jehovah's Witnesses suppose in?
How is it different than being Christian or Jewish? Is it supporting or not supporting things in the other religions?
Some guy said it has more closeness to the Jews or something, can someone excuse?
I know nothing about it but I am just curious.
Additional Details
English isn’t my language and it was really hard for me to be told what other sites said...so if someone is kind enough he can tell me in shortning what its all about and other questions I asked, thanks.
U.N.Bites Pope Your Retort:
J_stro see Profile he hates religion so no good source to put faith in his views at ALL! I had just posted this below to another grill about the 144,000 so it will well fit here also. The main point is Jehovah's Witnesses are well able to reason things out but others stop on one goofy show and cannot go beyond that. See for yourself please! See question and answer here:
Sprcpt Question
According to the JW only 144,000 go to heaven. There are more than 144,000 JW in the world?
So when they fly to pieces knocking on your door, aren't they selling tickets to a sold out show?
Additional Details
Trying to guardianship - I have asked them when they came knocking and they don't answer, they just walk away.
U.N.Bites Pope Your Response:
THE EARTH WILL HAVE MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY 1000,000's, 1000,000's, 1000,000's, 1000,000's, 1000,000's, etc. living here so why cannot people get past that 144,000 add up? They [the people of the world that is not open to truth] have ears but they cannot hear, they have eyes but they cannot see, etc. etc. etc.! Once Jehovah does away with those who DO NOT Yearn for TO HEAR there will be real true PEACE AND SECURITY on earth forever and ever because ALL will hear Jehovah the only unelaborated God knowing he is ALL loving and wise! So those who have no wisdom to hear beyond that real number of 144,000 they will die not understanding anything well-founded like they like it! Be happy, Jehovah's people who know and understand the simple fact of what that compute really does mean! It means we get everlasting life! The others will just go back to dust like Adam and Eve still are! O but if they Lack to believe their Trinity god loves a non stop BBQ of them that idea might kill them once they know that is where they will be going soon! Let them think what they WANT to believe! They are as goofy as the Pope giving teeth to the U.N. that will be used against ALL that kind of religion that mix in direction business and teach Pagan religious lies! How goofy can people get? Am I accurate? In my own goofy way of putting it? So when they fingers on knocking on your door, aren't they selling tickets to a sold out show? HOW GOOFY THEY THINK! If you can call that thinking! Their training did them no good it seems! Reasoning things out is not in them! Their religions and governments have not done so well there as well have they my fellow brothers and sisters? I will make a hard-headed copy of this in case someone does not like my BOLD truth! Or Jehovah willing this will wake some up who have a question with that number of a 144,000. They might come to notice how goofy they really sound! I hope, I hope, I ambition! Am I making my point? I hope!

Why are Christians so judgmental?
Jul 28, 2009 by max b | Posted in Religion & Spirituality
Why are christians so judgmental when the bible says umpire not I went to Catholic School for 6 years and even to seminary for 1 year to be a priest. My dad was always trying to get me to be Catholic too. I swear I have never met so many yahoo *** people in my life. In Catholic school all people ever did was call me a fag because I was nerdy. In seminary all people did was ***** at me for what I wore and what kind-hearted of car I drove and how I talked. My dad has been one of the most verbally abusive people you could ever meet. And in all these situations people would brag about drugs girls fornication no one ever asked me to call upon with them or read the bible with them. And it seems like they define Christian as whether or not you support abortion and gay marriage. So I started going to protestant churches and this other squad called the living stream ministry and they were nicer to me but were so judgmental of non christians and told me I was an idol worshiper for being comprehensive and having a Jesus candle in my room, and every time the subject came up of somebody being a non-christian they were always Oh my gosh, GOD!! please guard this person, I swear I cannot stand that, being so negative towards someone for not thinking the same way you to me is the same as judging them. Can anyone answer or recommend a different assort I could join. And don't say atheist I'm not interested in leaving christianity.

Background Checks for Sunday School Teachers?
Jul 28, 2009 by John | Posted in Religion & Spirituality
Hi everyone. This is my first formerly posting here, but I've been lurking for a while. You really seem to have a great community here with lots of great religious views. I'm the Minister of a small Interdenominational Christian Community, and am in the process of aquiring a new larger building. Here my staff is going to get get quite a bit, and we have lots of new people joining and volunteering.
I'm ecstatic to see everyone so enthusiastic to help, and I really paucity the help and everyone seems to be genuine great people, but my only concern is having people around children without first screening the backgrounds. Of assuredly I'm not just going to screen new people, I plan to be fair and screen absolutely everyone so nobody feels singled out. I already told the members that I would do this before starting Sunday School classes and everyone agreed that it was unequivocally important to do and volunteered their information for screening. Now I have all the info from the members, but I'm not sure where the best place is to get it checked.
Does anyone have any actual advice for a good website that does "background checks", "sweeping background reports", "Employee Screening", or anything like that. Perhaps even one that specifically helps Religious Organizations for this purpose?
Now please don't take this the wrong way. I don't plan to shun people from my church because if I didn't conjecture people could change I wouldn't be running a church in the first place, but I'm not going to let just anyone teach Sunday School Classes, Camping-ground, or go on field trips with the children.
sorry for the long winded question, and thanks for your help in contribute to.
God Bless
thanks for the quick responses.
I have filed with the Department of Legal Affairs, and they do normally take control of this kind of thing, but they are taking too long. It's already been 6 months and I'm getting the run around. I'm going to open soon and exigency a faster more reliable resource.
The police department isn't much more help. they can only do local and aren't fast enough from what I perceive. I have several officers of the law that worship with us. I'm sorry I didn't include that in my original question.
I do trust in God, and I do trust my friends through Christ, but this is a thing of child safety, and there is NO harm in it, so I don't see the problem.
