We tempered to to get hit hard by our teacher with a thick ruler for every point we missed in test...or if a classmate's stuff was "stolen" and no substance confessed we would all get hit 5 times each..(but the "honor" students get lighter hit..)...(it was frickin hurting) one time i heard a story that one of our teachers actually locked a naught classmate of our in a (very very small...broom closet..its not even a broom elbow-room) for being noisy...and this coming from an 18 year old..so elementary wasn't all that long ago.. how bout you? got any painful-school-punishment stories?
My problem with Math.?
Jul 30, 2009 by Meagan | Posted in Mathematics
Ever since I was in Elementary school. ive had a critical problem with Math.
Not easy Math, Im talking about a certain level.
I have never been able to get past Algebra 1 and Math has always been my worst foe.
I will be taking classes this fall and am feeling very hopeless about my Math class.
How will I get through them?
There is just a certain point it gets up to that I cannot do.
My brain will NOT make any sense of it.
And quite frankly, I donot care to learn it.
I about most of it is very useless and a waste of my time.
Not to mention not worth the headache.
Tutoring was only a limited help for me. Didnt get me very far. And when it did hands, I never remembered it anyways.
I am a straight A student with all other subjects non-Math related.
Basically, Id just like to advised of if there is anything out there that could actually really help me get through my Math classes besides cheating and going to a tutor.
Does anyone else have this conclusion with Math?
Definitely the only thing to help you get through it is to put in the effort and work at it. The only way to get better at math is to do it repeatedly until it becomes second nature.

You are not motivated. What do you plan to do in life? Ask a counselor how math will apply to your life's exertion.

Most people class of take thyese classes too early in life and in the day. Be sure to rewrite your short notes when you get to yhe Lib. Write them twice if you have to.
Use a textbook with a workbook.
