Can a medical assistant with limited xray work in Florida?
Jul 29, 2009 by Sarah | Posted in Health Care
So I am winsome a medical assistant with limited xray course in Oregon, where they allow MA's to do limited xray, I later found out that there are only a few states that agree to this, so since I am moving either to Arizona or Florida after I graduate, is it really work the extra $5,000.00 to be trained in radiology? I spoke with admissions today and they told me that someone in Florida is more probable to hire me due to the xray because it gives me an edge, he also told me: "What is illegal is for someone in Florida to hire you as an Xray TECHNICIAN. Not fixed xray, you can do that in Florida." But I go to Concorde Career Institute, there is a location in Florida, and they don't offer restricted xray in their Medical assistants course like Oregon does, which leads me to believe that my admissions rep I spoke with is full of it. Does anybody be aware what's REALLY going on here? Radiology is interesting but I doubt I'd really want to go in to the field. MA is something Im planning to do to put myself through boarding-school, I'm just getting certified so I can do better than minimum wage, so, if its possible to get the xray taken out of my curriculum and proper take the normal MA course available, would it be worth it to get my money back? Or would being trained in xray be something I can use in florida or AZ and give me more hiring attract? Also, when I signed the contract to get in to the school, they never told me I'd only be able to use Xray in select states, about three of them, is that also illegal?

Do you know what an anthropomorphic fallacy is?

Should indian culture studies be made a part of regular curicculum in schools?
Jul 28, 2009 by well wisher | Posted in Primary & Secondary Education
There is no other way of life which teaches moral values like my indian culture. It makes human beings, kind-hearted beings not animals. There is rising crime in cities and even towns these days because of degrading moral values, my proposal is that why dont we make indian culture studies a subject of regular school curriculum?
Smokey, i was referring to indian universities not american.
Freshman hs needs transportation from Queens to Bronx for school.?
Jul 28, 2009 by Mary c | Posted in Other - Education
My daughter is 14 and will be birth high school at a Lehman College adjunct high school in the Bronx this September. It is a important honor for her to be accepted into this school/curriculum. But the commute by public transportation is two or so hours, so we need to find alternative transportation, a carpool or vanpool, and preferably a father-sponsored or parent-involved alternative. Does anybody know of a resource, or a group, or an combine -- or even a bus line -- she could take that would be more efficient time-wise and safer, for a comparable price?
Can anyone recommend a Preschool/Daycare Curriculum I can use for my home daycare.?

How does a substitute teacher promote their sporting skills?
Jul 28, 2009 by Curiousgal | Posted in Special Education
I m in a special needs school and i particularly would love to teach sport there although there is already a sports teacher who covers the series of sport classes taught at this small school. I really love this school and the staff/students and i would like to inspire my sporting skills so that if a position comes up i am favored. I have majored in psychology in mainstream education but i have a specially interest in teaching sport to special needs students. I am a graduate subsitute teacher and i have found this is where my passion lies. Not all the teachers at the infuse with have special needs qualifications yet are excellent teachers. What should I do to be a 'vital statistic' in the back of their mind for Physical Training or assitance in the sporting curriculum of the school.
