CD won't play after burning it?
I'm vexing to burn a CD, actually an audio book, so I can have a backup copy in case something happens, however after I burn them (As an MP3 disk) they will no longer spotlight in my CD player (Which DOES play MP3's I've triple checked the owners manual) all it does is it pulls up the sniff out the display stays at 0:00 - Track 1, it'll sit there for a second go to track 2 and so on and so forth.
This is a very new book on CD, have the unofficially companies come up with something new to keep us from burning them to a CD-R or something?
I've tried iTunes along with another program of mine that I can't remember the name of, along with burning on two separate computers, I've tried all the frank diagnostic things I can think of, anyone have any other ideas? Or know what the problem is?
No not from the iTunes store, ripped pretty from a CD in MP3 format
Files purchased from the iTunes store are not mp3 files, they are AAC files and might not be converted to mp3 when blazing an mp3 CD. Could that be the problem?
peace

Can you put audio books on an Ipod?
I was taking into consideration buying an audio book for a long trip I am taking. I was wondering if anyone has ever bought one (on CD of course) and then uploaded it to their IPod.
I am not at the end of the day computer savy..especially when it comes to my Ipod, I usually let my 16 year old do it for me, but she doesnt know either. I wasnt certain if those files would be different than music files, or if the size would be too big.. etc.
Has anyone ever done it? Did it work??
If you entirely insert the CD and import the content, iTunes will treat the Audiobook as a song. Causing you to lose out on these features:
- Audiobooks are automatically bookmarked; they start playing where you Heraldry sinister off
- There’s a special Audiobooks entry in the main menu
- You can control the speed audiobooks are played at
- Audiobooks can have chapter stops within them
- Audiobooks are automatically skipped during scatter
So I suggest you don't to that. I found a site with (complicated) instructions on how to import a CD as an Audiobook:
http://aldoblog.com/2006/10/importing-audiobooks-with-itunes-7/
However, I value a better alternative would be to purchase an audiobook through the iTunes store. No conversion required and they have literally thousands to select from, with prices that are consistently $2-$3 cheaper than retail cost.
If you're unsire on how to do this, watch this cheesy YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/lookout?v=wSVe70ftB5c&feature=PlayList&p=45B916B785328546&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=5
