I was dating this guy for just a few weeks. There was something about him that really caught my eye when we first met and he asked me on a date. During the next few weeks, we went out a few times. I found that I was disproportionately sarcastic which caused him to put up his guard. I held him at a distance, didn't ask questions about his life and refused to see his friends. We even went out in a group and I refused to sit by him or talk to him. I'm shallow and there are things that I don't like about him physically either. On the gain side, he is fun to be around, can cook, gives great massages, and is just a good person.
I talked to him today after not talking to him for 2 weeks. It was a trim conversation and was normal since the pressure of dating wasn't there. I actually asked questions this time about his life and what has been thriving on. Then He said something about us breaking up and then it dawned on me that he really thought we were "going out".
I can't stop thinking about him or us. I appreciate that I never thought of him as a boyfriend and definitely didn't treat him like one. And now I wonder if it would work if I could put down my guard and action towards him like a human. So, is it even worth a second chance or should I move on? We agreed to be friends, and now I miss being around him...
