Computer experts, I beggary your help. I want to replace my current dying laptop and need a balance between low-cost and not throwing my in clover away buying something too cheap to suit my needs.
I mainly use my laptop for the following:
- Storing pictures and music
- Blazing CDs. Some minor music editing with Roxio (mostly cutting slips to make ringtones)
- Burning footage of home ground movies recorded on a digital camcorder (only the most minor editing - cutting the stuff I don't need, etc, i measly these are just videos of my family and family events)
- watchign the occasional DVD or a tv show on Hulu
- Paintshop Pro 11
- Some digital scrapbboking
- Browsing the internet/email/etc
- Some admittedly nitwit games like neopets, meez, Ceaser 3, etc but no serious 'gaming'
I've always had good luck with HP computers. does this computer seem like it will outfit my needs? thanks for your input in advance.
Can I somehow convert homemade DVDs of my skydives in Australia and New Zealand to run in the United States!?

I bought the DVD's of my skydives in Australia and New Zealand and they played on DVD players over there but they don't now that I'm digs in the USA. I know we have different systems, but since the DVDs still work on my computer can I somehow put it onto a DVD that will work here in the states? I tried one way but it didn't travail...and I clearly don't know much about technology, so can you give me any advice? I'm willing to take it somewhere that can do it for me if you think it's possible. Thanks in advance!!
