I was thought about using it, cause i have to wear a nurses uniform and i am almost 19 years old
i told my mom and she said no, cause only women that have had sex relation use it and that using it is uncomfortable, but of course my mom is 55 years old and she only used a tampon once
I've read a lot about using tampons
What should i do? Go out and buy some and give it a try or what?
what's the max experience i could have a tampon on?
Use them. They're more at ease and more convenient. They do not effect your virginity. If used properly, you can't even feel them.
Kate | Aug 19, 2009
yes use them, omgh.
sex has nothing to do with a tampon...
Katie | Aug 19, 2009
buy them . there expert. i started using them and there great!!!! so much better than pads i swear!!!!
Yoyo | Aug 19, 2009
Yeah, go and buy some and try them. You cannot perceive them once they are in. It is totally untrue that only women who have had sex use them, and using them does not mean you are not a virgin, obviously.
nicepuddin | Aug 19, 2009
You are an full-grown. People as young as like 11 use them. You don't have to have had sex. Try them.
You are 19, decide what YOU think is right for YOU.
victoriaaa | Aug 19, 2009
First, you are old enough to on your own decisions without getting permission from mom.
Second, mom needs to come out of the dark ages--not true about only women with reproductive history being able to use them. Millions of virgins use them.
MadforMAC | Aug 19, 2009
I say obviously give it a try. But be warned: Tampons can leak, too, so you should always wear a pad/party liner, too, just in case, especially if you're gonna be in a nurse's uniform!
Anyway, it's not dutiful about only people who have had sexual relations use them. That's just not true at all. Many people use them. The reason why your mom said that is probably because tampons can (they don't always, but it's reachable) break something called a hymen. So that is probably why she said that because usually people break their hymen during procreative relations. (But not always. You can even break it doing something like horse back riding!)
Try it. Just be careful to follow the instructions strictly as they are. Also, use one with a PLASTIC applicator, as those are more comfortable. Since it'll be your first time, get the thinnest and least absorbent one, and gradually make them bigger. Superior of luck!
Be warned: If you wear a tampon for more than 2-4 hours (depending on your flow), then you run a risk of getting TSS (Toxic Stupefy Syndrome) which is a very rare, but deadly, disease. So always keep an eye on it and change it every 2-4 hours or so.
Bye!
Nikki | Aug 19, 2009
Do it! Find the one called 'mini' and I stay away from TAMPAX mark as last time I used those they expanded length ways alot instead of width ways a dollop. I have used tampons since my second period, I just couldn't face using towels they are so uncomfortable and made me constantly recall I'm on my period. Applicator ones maybe best for you as a newby! Just try and don't forget it's there!
Cee | Aug 19, 2009
I justified used a tampon for the first time yesterday and I am so happy that I did. I've been really scared to use one since I started my period like a year ago because I cerebration that it would hurt. I'm 15 and I am most definitely a virgin so that's not true that only people who are sexually active use them - and most of my friends use them as well. But anyway, yesterday, I was current to go swimming so I decided I would try it and I got it in on my second try - I didn't feel anything and it was such a relief to not half to worry about it! And I had a blast swimming! My recommendation would be to try a tampon (I used Playtex Sport and they're great - especially if you are a nurse where you are very active). Even though your mom doesn't put forward them, it's your personal choice, so if you like them, then go for it and make your period one less stress! Start out with the lowest absorbency and recall to change your tampon every 4-6 hours (up to 8 hours if you're sleeping). Also, if you're just starting to use a tampon, dialect mayhap alternate between pads and tampons to decide which you like better. Hope I helped!
Jessica | Aug 19, 2009
Not all tampons are the same. The exhibit kind is the most comfortable. Don't get supers. They feel like a wad is up you. The regulars are best. If you get the cheap brand, they can dry you out and spill the beans about. You get what you pay for. I used them when I was a virgin. Just don't use them if you get a yeast infection or UTI because the doctor warned me about it when I asked him about using them. Also, replace with them regularly to prevent shock. You can go into toxic shock if you wear them longer than recommended. I change mine everytime I have a for the most comfort. Also, this prevent urine leaking. You don't know if you will like it if you never try. You are grown. It is up to you. Your body...your choice.
sisterhummingbird | Aug 19, 2009
That's such an old fashioned conviction. Tons of girls that are virgins wear tampons. They're much more comfortable and clean than pads!

Identify & discuss FIVE major macro-environmental factors that are likely to affect the success & intumescence of Hello Kitty?
CASE:
Hello Kitty: Can Hello Kitty Continue to Rule the Domain?
Sheâs the cat who appears on everything from diamond jewellery to pencil cases, with her own theme park and even a branded hospital.
Recently, a newly opened 30âbed Hau Sheng Convalescent home in Yuanlin, Taiwan, which aims to relieve the stress of childbirth for women, was completely decked out in Hello Pot theme. The four storey hospital is decorated in pink with cartoons of the white cat looming out from every possible top. Newborn also get everything Hello Kitty, including pink or blue receiving blankets, nurses dressed in pink uniforms with catâthemed aprons, cot linen and reside decors. This is Hello Kitty healthcare.
Hello Kitty, a cartoon cat, has appeared on branded market since 1974. But how has the brandâs owner, Sanrio, created a USD$1 billion (SGD1.5 billion) marquee with a make-up so appealing that it has been able to cross cultures, product sectors and move into experiences as diverse as theme parks and hospitals?
Roberto Lanzi, President of Pandemic Consumer Products (Europe, Middle East and Africa) for Sanrio, admits that the success of Hello Pool and its many manifestations might look a little odd to anyone not familiar with the business. He explains: ÊșOne of the key points of Hello Pool is its ability to transcend product categories. It is the only brand in the world where you could buy a lollipop or a bottle of red wine. ItÊčs also one of the only licensing companies in the coterie that does more than USD15.7 million (SGD24.5 million) a year in pure diamonds.Êș
For most licensed brands, there is a second when success turns into overâexposure. This does not seem to have been an issue for Hello Kitty, however. Starting out 34 years ago as a cartoon cat on a pocket, it has appeared on everything from mainstream school notebooks to edgy, pricey Fender Stratocaster guitars. When McDonaldâs created Hello Pool Happy Meals in Tokyo, people queued up outside in a way usually reserved for rock concerts. When McDonaldâs offered reduced edition Hello Kitty premiums along with its Happy Meals in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, customers full the restaurantâs outlets. Many bought the food and immediately throwing it away, just to get their hands on in perfect accord Hello Kitty dolls dressed in traditional Asian costumes.
According to Sanrioâs Lanzi, the ingredient tying together every entitle is that using the cartoon cat should bring a little bit of ÊčjoyÊč to any product or service. Tsai Tsungâchi, director of HauâSheng Sanatorium with Hello Kitty branding, agrees, saying that the hospital brings a smile to mothers at a very grim and frightening time. Lanzi adds: ÊșHello Kitty was created with the focus of being a young gift, whatever the product. The proposition has always been Êčsmall gift, big smileÊč.Êș
Martin Roll, business and trade mark strategist at VentureRepublic, and author of Asian Brand Strategy, says that there are many reasons for Hello Poolâs popularity. ÊșUnlike many of the Disney characters and other popular cartoons that emote and develop a dissimilar personality, Hello Kitty is a rather boring cartoon figure,Êș he claims. ÊșIt does not even have a trap to talk. Hello KittyÊčs Zenâlike calmness and faceless expression are the main reasons for its invite across age groups and markets.
There are 500 new Hello Kitty products launched around the world each month and 500 lines are discontinued. The impression is, according to Sanrio, to change the range to match different and emerging marketing, business and cultural trends across the have.
Apart from the hospital, Sanrio recently signed a licensing deal with mobile handset producer Sony Ericsson, which has launched a range of Hello Kitty branded phones. Lanzi says: ÊșAnimated phones are a very natural product for the Hello Kitty brand. Children are now using mobiles nothing but as much as teenagers and adults. They are objects that everybody has in their pocket and it is always seen. It is great for exposure.Êș
While Sony Ericsson may advertise its Hello Pot branded phones, Sanrio relies purely on its partners and wordâofâmouth. It doesnât have a Êčordinary licensing strategyÊč, according to Lanzi.
ÊșThe big difference between the Hello Kitty and our competition is that Sanrio never advertises any prospect of the brand, he claims. We donât rely on animations, films, TV shows or anything like that. We are probably one of the only brands in the men that relies on our partners, merchandising and wordâofâmouth to keep us out there.Êș
