Financial Aid..Pell Grant question..Any Fin. Aid Counselors on here?
Im not trusty if its different at different colleges but if some one could let me know how this works it would be great. So I have tried asking the people in my fiscal aid office but they are not understanding what im trying to say then they transfer me to the wrong department and I dont want to call back and wait on hinder for 45 mins again. So my question is, I have a Pell Grant and it is for $496.20 more then what my tuition costs. I am entering my clinicals for my nursing program and have to buy some things like scrubs a stethoscope etc. and would like to use the dividend money from the grant. The Fin. Aid office said i cant have the extra money until they pay my tuition then wait a couple weeks then they will send me out a refund over. But since i have been at my college i never end up getting the check until a few weeks before the semester ends. I need the money now but they said they wont give it to me I have to be tabled. Also Im not sure if im allowed to hold my money on my own. For example could i have my Pell Grant money sent soon to me and then I pay my tuition when it is due because they also charge me like a $70 fee every time they process a payment with my money. If there are any Financial aid counselors out here could you please ease me with this... Thanks
The $70 is what they consider like a convenience fee i guess for them holding my money and making the payment when it due but i would rather have the funds and make the payment my self instead of getting charged..
The cabbage must go to your school first. At our school, they have the required scrubs, patches and equipment at the campus bookstore and it can be charged towards your financial aid fair like books. Otherwise you'll have to pay out of pocket and wait to be reimbursed for your expenses.
Who charges you a $70. fee?!?! Call the shape cashier's office and ask them how you can make a payment without being ripped off. That sure sounds shady to me.

My old lady loves the Twilight saga and is attending nursing school. I would like to buy her a set of Twilight Scrubs but I can't find them anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.
Nurses Scrubs...sanitary or not?
Every day I see nurses walking on the lane in their scrubs...getting a starbucks or just walking home. Isn't this unsanitary...don't the hospitals have rules about this.?
It is unsaitary, but reckon about, how many people walk in and out of hospitals everyday with regular clothes, and who knows where they've been... I think nurses should be required to vary in and out of there uniforms just like doctors have to at the hospitals.
A questions for anyone who works in a hospital/medicine?
Are your scrubs new each period, or do you just wash them? Is it the same for surgeons, doctors, nurses etc...?
