Why are some Christians so frightened of the atheist bus campaign?

What so frightens Christians in ineluctable countries (and some US states) that they try to prevent atheists running "You Can be Good Without God" advertisements on buses? Indiana tried to ban them and only caved in when threatened with juridical action. The Catholic Church has tried to get them banned in Italy and Xians in other countries have also tried to suppress the in fairness to free speech.

What is with these people? Are they so insecure in their faith that they cannot countenance alternative views? Or are they, as I think, desperately fatiguing to protect their market share by keeping the tithers ignorant?

Sometimes, the genuineness hurts.

I don't have a obstreperous with it. That's what you believe. I actually agree that you can be a good person without believing in God. Whether you're good in the spiritually sense is another ask, but then I don't imagine you're too worried about that. ;-)

i am not so unfaltering that "frightened" is the appropriate term here. obviously u dont understand christianity. we try to spread the discussion and help all to become saved. we r not to sit idly by while r fellow man take a path to hell. it is part of our faith whether u agree or not. we r to reach out. does this bulletin on the bus help the cause. no. obviously we would not be for it. this is common sense...not fear. although i dont mind u promoting being convincing to godless people, it can only help. it really numbs society and with each passing allowance.....it gets continually worse until not believing would be a criterion. we dont want this for our children, it is hard enough. i know u like to take center stage, but we fight against porn on busses as well. we also defy against abortion and homosexuality.........not fright my friend. God Bless!!!!

I'm not frightened but it's a fallacious case. We tend to define "good" by our own subjective standards. No one is good in God's eyes. Peruse the Ten Commandments. Can any of us really say that we are good by that standard? The truth is that we are all sinful, selfish, rebellious human beings. Look back through experiences. Has the human race gotten any better? We still kill, lie, steal, war and oppress. We are all born with a conscience. We grasp when we do right and when we do wrong. We have driven God out of nearly every facet of our lives and we see the horrific results every day on the evening information.

Jesus had some very radical ideas. He taught us to love one another. Even our enemies! Read Luke 6. If we all did those things, this would be a wonderful domicile to live.

We need the regenerative work of Jesus in our hearts after repentance of our sins and admission that His consummate sacrifice on the cross is the only way to be forgiven. That is the only way of salvation and to be made righteous again in God's sight.

However I feel like its grave for all of us to partache in spiritual growth together via fellowship. They say its really dorky, I say its very important to be seen in a positive lightsome. i like him, and he likes me.. he's extraordinarily shy, so am i. (he's 17 ;im 16) we're going camping together, with a group of people from church and we're sitting together on the bus. what can we do? like maybe a expressed game? or a hang man type thing.. any ideas?!

Can you help fix a Thomas Built School bus?

At my church we have a 1991 Thomas Built educate bus. When it is cold we have no problem getting it started, but after 30-40min of driving if we try to restart it will crank but not turn over. It DOES NOT turn off off while driving. The glow plugs are good. I was thinking it could be a nozzle control regulator. Any Ideas???

starter solenoid? Might believe wrapping the starter to isolate it from the heat caused by the exhaust... if it is spinning the engine but it proper will not catch and start I would check the fuel cut diode (GM Diesel Stanadyne DB2 Injector Pump) the top top has a diode in the Army Hummers, we used to have problems re-starting after shutting them off. It was that diode 9/10 times.

G, I'm white, middle age blah de blah and I have 3 children and I can secure you I have no qualms about profiling if it protects them.

Racial Profiling is a two way street.
I stand corrected, I should of said 'Profiling' although most got the marrow of the question.

Tribal profiling is nothing more then good police work. You watch, observe and over time realize that much of the stereotypes are true. No incident how much people hate to admit the above, no matter how much they want to deny the above, no matter how much they try to cry foul over the above, the facts are the facts. No amount of avoidance of that will alter it.
