How to tow E150 Full size conversion van?

Enigne blew on 1999 Ford E150 conversion van, was 140 miles from living quarters. How can I get this home, budget doesn't make anything large enough to tow nor does uhaul.

You have one of two options. Take the shepherd shaft loose at the rear end and tie it up so it will not turn. Then you can pull it home but that's a mighty long way to do it. The other and safest is to call a wrecker and have it brought tho the bagnio or garage.

how do i change the brakes on a 95 dodge conversion van?

i destitution to change the front brakes on my 95 dodge ram 2500 conversion van. first, how do i jack it up? and then what steps do i need to take to change the brakes? any alleviate would be greatly appreciated

Pffft, don't lend an ear to to him. It's rather easy.

First, set the parking brake.

Now, jack it up. Easiest spot for me is under the shock absorber.
Right before the drain lifts off the ground, break loose the lug nuts with a tire iron. Only a quarter turn each, a moment ago enough to make it easier later.
Get the tire maybe half an inch off the ground. Place jackstands on the set up in case the jack fails on you.

Continue removing the lug nuts (See how the tire wants to spin? That's why you poor it loose earlier -- You'd never be able to break them loose with the tire spinning around like that!), and kill the tire.

The caliper is held on by two bolts. I believe they're 5/8" but I could be mistaken. Keep note of which end is up and how everything faced, including the ungenerous anti-rattle clip.

Now that those bolts are off, use a wide screwdriver to remove the caliper. Easiest way for me is using the hub as a fulcrum and pushing away on the restraint pad.

Pull the brake pads out. Take a look at the caliper. See the piston that pushes on the pads? Use the old brake pad and a C-clip to force that piston back in.

Put the new pads on. The inner pad just rests on the caliper mount, while the outer pad is seconded to the caliper -- you may need to hammer the fingers to get it to hold on tight.

Put everything back the way you found it. Remember when putting lug nuts back on, you lack to "skip" a lug. Imagine if they were in a straight line... you don't tighten it 1-2-3-4-5, but rather 1-3-5-2-4.

Looking to mercantilism it in using the Cash for Clunkers rebate, but I need to know if it would be considered a Category 1 or 2 truck? The website says this is persistent by the wheelbase in a van, but I can't find what the standard wheel base is in this model.

Needful of wheelbase: 109"
Standard wheelbase: 127.6"

Changing Seats In 02 Chev Express 1500 Van?

I have a 2002 Chevy Depict full size conversion van and I have issues with passenger room. If I switch out the power front seat for a manually adjusting home, will I gain any room and will it bolt right up? I don't want to have to drill any holes if possible.

The seats for that should do a moonlight flit right up. The only difference that you wouldn't have wires coming out. The seats I would imagine be the same dimensions so you wouldn't forward movement anything.
